The Arabidopsis Functional Genomics Network was established in 2001 as part of a multinational effort to characterise the functions of all Arabidopsis genes until 2010. During this time, the AFGN was funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG), in order to enhance coordination and collaboration between German Arabidopsis researchers.
Today the AFGN is a section under the umbrella of the German Botanical Society (DBG) and continues its actions in coordinating Arabidopsis projects, promotion of young scientists and organisation of the biannual Tri-National Arabidopsis Meeting (TNAM). The German AFGN is supported by a coordinator financed by the DFG until mid 2016.
This homepage is designed to serve as a communication portal for German Arabidopsis research. Here you will find relevant information on the current status of the Arabidopsis-related projects in Germany, funding possibilities for scientists in all career stages, upcoming events & more. It also offers a newly designed platform for supporting the organisation of events promoted by the AFGN (click here).
We are aware that in order to maintain and enhance fruitful networking, a joined effort from the Arabidopsis community is indispensable. We kindly ask you to contribute by sharing news, events, job opportunities, etc., as well as giving suggestions and comments. Simply drop us an Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt!
